Handflute Volunteering: A Cross-Border Musical Connection at a Thai Orphanage
Children Aged Three to Six
In December 2025, Association members visited an orphanage in Pattaya, Thailand, to perform handflute for children aged three to six.
This was not a rehearsed show. There was no way to predict how the children would react — they might wander off, lose interest, or just keep running around, as most three-year-olds do. What actually happened: once the music started, several children walked up to the performer on their own and tried to copy the hand position.

No Shared Language at All
There was no shared language whatsoever, and it still happened. There is not much that needs interpreting.
